As of August 12, 2026, Solana's on-chain agent registries hold 3,070 registered agent accounts across 2 independent registries, led by Metaplex MPL Agent Identity with 1,565. The figure is read directly from the registry programs, so it is independently recomputable — but because the registries do not deduplicate against each other, treat it as an upper bound on distinct agents rather than a census.

Read from the registry programs, not a dashboard
Solana's agent identity landscape is not one registry but several, run by different teams with different schemas. This count comes from reading the registry programs' own accounts directly, which is why it can be recomputed by anyone with an RPC endpoint and does not depend on any project's self-reported figure.
Because the registries are independent, an agent registered in two of them counts twice. The total is therefore an upper bound on distinct agents, and the per-registry breakdown below is the more honest view.
Registrations are not activity
A registry account proves someone paid the rent to create it. It does not prove the agent has ever transacted, and registration is cheap enough that a single campaign can move the total sharply. Read this as the size of the identity layer on Solana, then read the payment figures elsewhere on this site for whether that identity layer is being used.
Also asked
Is this every AI agent on Solana?
No. It counts accounts in the on-chain agent registries this site tracks. An agent operating on Solana without registering in one of them is invisible to this measure, and an agent registered in two is counted twice.
